About the Role
The Senior Business Analyst serves as a trusted advisor and senior subject matter expert supporting a portfolio of specialized clinical applications used across Saskatchewan's surgical and procedural care environments. Working closely with clinicians, operational leaders, vendors, technical teams, and provincial stakeholders, this role supports, enhances, and optimizes critical healthcare technologies, including endoscopy, perioperative, orthopedic, prosthetic, patient monitoring, and surgical technology solutions. The successful candidate leads requirements analysis, business process improvement, solution planning, system enhancements, and operational support activities, ensuring clinical technologies remain reliable, effective, and aligned with evolving healthcare needs. This position plays a key role in advancing digital health initiatives that directly support patient care, surgical services, and the ongoing evolution of healthcare technology across the province.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Manager, Surgical Care Services, you will:
• Lead and support business process improvement and organizational change initiatives.
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop business cases that identify opportunities and recommend solutions.
• Partner with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Facilitate consensus among project teams, clients, and stakeholders regarding solution design and implementation.
• Evaluate current, emerging, and industry-leading services and technologies to support continuous improvement.
• Develop clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including business, user, and system requirements.
• Provide guidance throughout solution design, testing, implementation, and adoption activities while considering impacts to enterprise architecture and business operations.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within an integrated healthcare support environment.
• Experience leading business process improvement initiatives, requirements gathering, and solution design activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of business analysis methodologies, project management frameworks, and business process improvement practices.
• Experience developing business cases, conducting feasibility assessments, and facilitating stakeholder engagement.
• IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA, project management certification, or experience within a health care and/or integrated IT environment would be considered an asset.

Analytical: Ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize business, technical, and operational information to support decision-making, process improvement, and solution development.
Technical: Ability to analyze business requirements, support solution design, develop and execute testing approaches, assess the impact of proposed system and process changes, and apply knowledge of emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices to support business objectives.
